Thanks to you, our classroom has been transformed into a more welcoming, colorful, and student-centered space that truly supports engaged learning.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first walked in and saw the lapdesks, rocket chairs, and the vibrant Schoolgirl Style Rainbow Smileys area rug, their faces lit up with excitement. \"We got new seats! The classroom is beautiful!\" one student exclaimed. These new materials brought fresh energy to our room—not just in color and design, but in how students feel about learning. The space now reflects a warm, inviting environment where students feel proud and excited to be every day.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating options have already made a noticeable difference. During small group instruction, students can now choose comfortable spots away from the teacher, helping them work more independently. This added comfort and freedom has improved focus, boosted engagement, and encouraged students to take more responsibility for their learning. The rocket chairs and lapdesks have become cozy learning nooks where students feel empowered and more confident.\r\n\r\nOne moment that stands out was during a recent literacy center rotation. Students moved between stations, reading and completing comprehension activities. With the flexible seating, they stayed focused and worked together naturally. I saw more peer collaboration and quiet conversations about the texts—proof that the environment truly supports positive academic behaviors.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students are using our new learning space to engage in collaborative group projects. Right now, they're reading books and preparing to share what they've learned with their classmates. The relaxed, flexible setup gives them room to be creative, express their ideas, and participate in meaningful discussions without feeling confined to a desk.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has done far more than just provide materials. You've helped create a learning environment filled with joy, motivation, and gratitude. These upgrades have changed the way my students learn and interact with one another. They now walk into our classroom with a sense of pride, ownership, and enthusiasm for learning every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom and for making such a meaningful impact. When the students first saw the new materials, their excitement filled the room — they immediately began exploring the costumes, props, and imaginative setups. Your donation truly transformed our classroom into a place where creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning thrive. Over the past few weeks, the students have used the materials daily, bringing their ideas to life through rich, imaginative play. Watching them engage so deeply has been an absolute joy, and we are incredibly grateful for the difference you have made in their learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe thematic play area has already supported several of our units, and we are excited for even more connections ahead. During our Farmers Unit, students ran a farmers' market, practicing math and social skills while selling fruits, vegetables, and handmade goods. For our Plants Unit, they acted as gardeners and botanists, nurturing their understanding of how plants grow. Most recently, during our Kings and Queens Unit, the classroom transformed into a royal kingdom where students explored leadership, storytelling, and history through dramatic play. Thanks to your generosity, these hands-on, imaginative experiences have made learning more meaningful and memorable for our students — and we can't wait to continue building on this momentum!","fullyFundedDate":1740856092406,"projectUrl":"project/playful-minds-engaging-kindergarten-lea/8916876/","projectTitle":"Playful Minds: Engaging Kindergarten Learners through Thematic Dramatic Play","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rivera","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8046661_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1642413768884","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8046661"},{"teacherId":1709151,"projectId":8928676,"letterContent":"It is incredible the impact our 3D printer has had. We have spinner mechanisms based on a model designed by Leonardo Da Vinci from our Social Studies unit and Science unit on graphing distances. Together we solved our problem with hitting a softball by printing our own baseball T for PE. Now we have students that want to play instead of being too shy to strike out. We've even printed animal figurines for our Global Warming projects, and thanks to the excitement, our class decided to share our work with classes from throughout our school. \r\n Our projects have even inspired other classes to create their own projects and do their own research! Currently, we are looking into making our own planters for our next science unit to grow plants. \r\n Thank you so much for your generosity and keeping the excitement in learning!","fullyFundedDate":1731547948248,"projectUrl":"project/stem-learning/8928676/","projectTitle":"STEM Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Diaz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1709151"},{"teacherId":1709151,"projectId":8659678,"letterContent":"The students were so excited to get their hands on these circuits. Students who usually have very little interest in general instruction were helping others fix their circuits and getting them to work together. The conversations were awesome! Your donations have made a difference in our world of letters and sounds. Students are excited to learn when they arrived at the Reading Lab. \r\n\r\nOur students are excited to experience a library where they can lounge and enjoy the magic of books in comfortable seating. Students are learning about letter sounds using playdough stamps and learning other kinesthetic strategies to learn about phonemes. They are throwing bean bags into a basket to target medial vowels sounds, playing while learning and building their phonemic awareness. These are the building blocks that lead to future readers and critical thinkers.\r\n\r\nWhat's Next? Our early struggling readers are gaining the skills to decode the word. As we move forward, we are building on strategies that work through fun play. This school year you supported 60 students who were 2 years below grade level. These items have made a significant difference in the learning environment and daily operations, and I'm excited to share the incredible impact they've had on my students.\r\n\r\nThe printer has been a game-changer for our essay-writing projects. My students now have the ability to print their completed work, especially in color, which has brought their creative pieces to life and boosted their pride in their work. Seeing their essays professionally printed has motivated them to put in extra effort and take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nThe Classroom Keepers slot mailbox has transformed the way we manage homework, flyers, and parent communication. It has instilled a sense of accountability in my students, as they now have a designated place to submit their assignments and retrieve important notices. This system has not only improved organization but has also taught them responsibility and independence.\r\n\r\nLastly, the desk dividers have been a tremendous help during assessments and diagnostics. They provide my students with a focused and distraction-free space, allowing them to do their best work. I've noticed an increase in their confidence and concentration during these critical moments, which is incredibly rewarding to see.\r\n\r\nThese donations have truly enhanced our classroom in meaningful ways, and my students and I are deeply grateful.
