Students use them during independent reading, partner reading, and quiet time when they want to curl up with a good book. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students choose books and excitedly settle into the new chairs together. It was wonderful to see the reading area become a space where students genuinely wanted to spend time.\r\n\r\nWhen the chairs first arrived, the students were so excited! They immediately wanted to try them out and were eager to decide which chair would be their favorite. Several students commented on how comfortable they were, and many couldn't wait for our next reading time. Their excitement made it clear how much a comfortable, welcoming space can encourage students to pick up a book and read.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building our classroom reading community. Students are currently working on choosing books that interest them, practicing reading with fluency and expression, and sharing their thinking about what they read. We will be creating book recommendations for our classmates so that students can help each other discover new stories. Thanks to our generous donors, we now have a cozy space that makes these reading experiences even more enjoyable. Because of you, we now have a brand-new art drying rack that has already made a huge difference in our daily routines and creative projects.\r\n\r\nWe are using the drying rack every time we paint, watercolor, or complete any project that requires glue or detailed coloring. Before, we had artwork spread across counters, desks, and any open surface we could find. It was tricky to keep projects safe and organized, and students had to be very careful walking around the room. Now, students independently place their artwork on the rack, and it dries safely without smudges or accidental spills.\r\n\r\nDuring a recent watercolor project students proudly carried their paintings to the rack and slid them onto a shelf like true artists. There was such a sense of ownership and responsibility as they admired the rows of bright, beautiful artwork drying neatly in one place.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is not just about a piece of classroom furniture — it is about creating a space where students can create confidently, stay organized, and feel proud of their work. These slides help us blend traditional reading instruction with engaging visuals and interactive activities that make literacy more meaningful and fun for every learner. For some students who struggled to stay focused with paper-based lessons, the technology adds excitement and keeps them motivated from start to finish.\r\n\r\nI've noticed a huge boost in engagement and confidence, especially among students who used to hesitate during reading time—they're now volunteering to lead the class through activities on the slides.\r\nPurchasing these standards-aligned slideshows have really enriched our daily literacy instruction.
