Because of your kindness, our students now have access to a wider variety of engaging, high-quality books that are already making a meaningful impact on their learning and enthusiasm for reading.\r\n\r\nThese new texts are helping students develop important literacy skills, including comprehension, critical thinking, making inferences, identifying themes, and supporting their ideas with evidence from the text. Beyond academic growth, the books are exposing students to new perspectives, experiences, and ideas that encourage empathy, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is a lively and interactive experience. Students spend time reading independently, discussing books with partners and small groups, and reflecting on their reading through conversations and written responses. The addition of these new books has given students more choice in what they read, helping them discover stories and topics that truly interest them.\r\n\r\nThe excitement surrounding the new books has been wonderful to witness. Students eagerly browse the shelves, recommend books to their classmates, and share their favorite parts of stories with one another. Some students who were previously hesitant readers have become more engaged because they found books that connect with their interests, while avid readers are excited to explore new genres and challenges.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has done more than provide books—it has helped create a community of readers who are excited to learn, explore, and grow. This project has truly helped create a comfortable and engaging learning environment. The students have enjoyed reading and working in our reading and math corners. \r\n\r\nIn our classroom, we have two big tables where students can work in small groups or with partners. All around the two tables are the colorful stools for students to sit while they work. They were very amazed by how colorful the stools were and how they went with the whiteboard dots on the tables. We also use our magic boards to practice multiplication facts, spelling patterns, and other fun activities. \r\n\r\nWe also have two comfortable areas we call the reading corner and the math corner. The reading area has two comfortable bean bags, which are the most popular seats in the classroom. It also has one of the back support pillows, and they are all on the beautiful soft carpet. In the math corner, there are many of the seat cushions on the floor and against the wall with a back support pillow. Both areas are used for reading, partner work, independent work, and fun Friday. \r\n\r\nThe students enjoy sitting in these comfortable areas and are always asking if they can sit there throughout the day. I believe it has truly impacted our classroom by motivating and encouraging students to read in these areas.
