When we received the package, students immediately began looking through the books. I have several students who are obsessed with dragons right now, and were very excited by the Dragons Love Tacos book and Do Not Bring Your Dragon to the Last Day of School. I have several students who love the Dog Man and Cat Kid series and were very excited for the new Cat Kid Comic Club book. \r\n\r\nThe social emotional books that were received are used in our classroom to teach important skills. We read them and have a whole class discussion about the concept to practice the new skill. The new books, I Just Want To Do It My Way, My Fantabulous Brain, I Have Ants In My Pants, and The \"I\" In Integrity are all teaching important skills. We use them to teach concepts such as flexible thinking, understanding our brains and needing to move our bodies. Our students were very curious when we opened up the package. They wanted to know all about the machine and how we can use it. \r\n\r\nOur first project used with it was our door for Red Ribbon Week. Students chose the theme, saying, and font to decorate the door. They were so excited to see how it worked and how to use it. \r\n\r\nOur other teachers and students are excited to be able to use it for our enrichment clubs and within the classroom on other projects as well.
