Thanks to you, we now have **stackable stools and comfy floor seats with backrests**, and my students absolutely love them. They're able to pick the seat that works best for them—some like sitting up at instruments, while others prefer sitting on the floor to drum or write rhythms. One student said, \"These seats make music time way more fun!\" and I couldn't agree more.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating has made a big difference. Transitions are smoother, kids stay more focused, and they're collaborating more naturally during group work. It's amazing how something as simple as the right seat can help students feel comfortable and confident to create.\r\n\r\nMy students bring so much joy, energy, and creativity to class, and your generosity has helped make our music room a space that really supports them. They can create sculptures, constructions, models, and so much more. My students have been so obsessed with the reading bench and the new books (I have been too!) Our independent reading time takes place at the end of our lesson and the students are so focused during the first portions of the lesson so that we can get to the reading time to cozy up with a book and get lost in reading! My students and I have enjoyed reading aloud to my students, \"Stacey's Remarkable Books\" so much that they go back to their classroom teachers and request they borrow my book to read to the whole class! I love being able to share GOOD books with all students and staff, thank you.\r\n\r\nWhen I pulled out the smelly markers, phonics flip books, and play doh my students were jumping with excitement! They couldn't wait to get started on some heart words (also known as sight words or high frequency words), and were beyond motivated to use the new materials. Thank you so much for being willing to reignite the love of reading and learning to read in my students. I personally was very excited about the elkonin boxes, and was surprised how excited my students were as well. All these materials will create a loving, safe, comfortable reading atmosphere for my striving readers. Your generosity has provided the students in our classroom headphones that not only work well, but are comfortable!\r\n\r\nIn our district we have testing done on our iPads, which require headphones. You have alleviated that hurdle by providing students in our classroom with headphones. It's also providing students to listen to audio books occasionally, which statistically help build fluent readers. \r\n\r\nThe students in our classroom love the feel of the headphones, they share that it feels like \"gamer\" headphones and they're excited to use them everyday! For many of them, this is their first year experiencing music class and having a designated, comfortable space to sit has made a huge difference. Now, instead of scrambling to find a spot, they eagerly grab their carpet circles and settle in for singing games, instrument playing, and movement activities. These simple additions have helped create a more organized, comfortable, and welcoming environment where every student has a place. \r\n\r\nWe use the carpet circles daily for group activities, rhythm exercises, and collaborative learning. One of the most memorable moments was when we gathered in a circle to play a call-and-response drumming game. The students were engaged, focused, and more confident participating because they had a defined space of their own. With this new structure, transitions between activities are smoother, and students can fully immerse themselves in making music. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these carpet circles will continue to be an essential part of our music classroom. As we explore more movement-based activities and partner work, having a flexible seating arrangement allows us to adapt easily.
