My Pre-K class is made up of a diverse group of young learners. Many of our students are multi-lingual and our community is made up of families that identify as Black, Ethiopian, Hmong, Latinx, Somali, and White. The children span all levels of academic abilities, and each child comes with unique experiences that contribute to their different interests and strengths. Many of my children come from low-income households, and all of them come from a family that is doing their absolute best to provide a safe and loving home! In our class, we are a community. We support each other and we help each other learn and grow. We work together to master academic learning and social-emotional skills. We create an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging!
