For my students, seeing and using drums in my music classroom is a normal event. But to have a drum in the library, art room, or a \"regular\" grade level classroom is exciting. \r\nTeachers and students have been able to use them to give a drum roll for special announcements and to lead class cheers to celebrate a classmates success. Some teachers have brought the drums to our monthly building wide celebrations to add to the air of excitement in the room.\r\nAs our teachers are looking for ways to add magic and excitement to their classrooms, I can see so many ways that thse drums can be used in the years to come. Keeping time to practice multiplication tables, playing along to a class composed rap for the content area, adding sound effects to a class read aloud, and so much more. Your donation didn't buy a one time gift, but rather a gift we can use for many years.
