My second graders were so excited to see our new sensory materials, and I loved seeing their curiosity as they explored the different items. Having the ability to move and bounce their feet while sitting at their desk helps them stay engaged during lessons and participate in learning. It is a great reminder that sometimes a small change in the classroom environment can make a big difference for a student. I love being able to offer tools that help my students feel comfortable and give them more opportunities to be successful.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, we will keep practicing strategies that help us become focused, confident, and independent learners. These sensory resources will continue to support my students during whole-group lessons, independent work time, and other parts of our daily routine.
