The laminating sheets, lap desks, snacks, and dry erase markers have already made a wonderful impact on my students. The laminating sheets allow us to create durable, reusable learning materials that students can use again and again. The lap desks give students the flexibility to work comfortably in different areas of our classroom, making independent work and small-group activities more engaging. The snacks are especially appreciated by my students and help them stay focused and ready to learn throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see the new supplies and have enjoyed putting them to use! The student I work with come from low economic background and most times come to school hungry or wanting more than the breakfast provided by the school. My students also used snacks when emotions ran high and kids needed to use our sensory room to de-escalate. Snacks provided a fill of a basic need during these times. So many snacks were utilized during sessions when emotions ran high or kids needed a picked me up after a big conversation. Most of all my students love the personal care items. My small groups in elementary and middle school having been spending the last several weeks learning about empathy with the materials sent through donors choose, including books, games and activities. The blocks and Legos funded were and are still being used for a project where students receive a situation with a physical, mental or emotions problem and my students a must design something woh blocks to help this stupid break through their barrier.
