As an art educator I believe that high quality instructional materials provide a high quality education, and high quality art work produced by the students. Without your donation, the work my students have done would not have been possible.\r\n\r\nWe have used the easel's and drawing boards on our most recent painting project. It has given students the flexibility to paint from all different angels and from more comfortable positions. It also gives the students the ability to step back and analyze their work as they are creating. Viewing it like they would in a museum. But most of all, it builds their confidence as individual, high level artists.\r\n\r\nThe students have been thrilled at the new addition to the classroom. We will continue to use these for all projects possible. Again, we are so thankful for your donation!","fullyFundedDate":1762630600575,"projectUrl":"project/support-creativityone-easel-at-a-time/9876569/","projectTitle":"Support Creativity—One Easel at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10342213_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y239&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762375523308","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10342213"},{"teacherId":1720477,"projectId":9184174,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping fund our desktop laminator and the pockets that go with it. The addition of a desktop laminator has helped us preserve our paper manipulatives and card sorts for multiple uses. We have even started storing them in baggies for use next year. Talk about longevity of an investment!\r\n\r\nTypically, each unit of study has three or four card sorts that must be printed for 30 students per class. Some units also include Info-Talks that promote student questioning abilities. These take 10-15 pages each to print for a class. The savings in paper and time make the laminator well worth the effort it takes to laminate the papers.\r\n\r\nAs a math classroom, you cannot imagine how helpful having the laminator.\r\n\r\nThank you from the bottom of our hearts and from all of the trees you have helped us save.","fullyFundedDate":1743548978004,"projectUrl":"project/project-preservation/9184174/","projectTitle":"Project Preservation","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jensen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1720477_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1504666377385","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lorie-jensen"},{"teacherId":9363439,"projectId":8958343,"letterContent":"First of all, thank you so much for contributing to my Donor's Choose project to help fund more resources for my Choral Library at my school. We are a new school that opened during Covid (2020) and have the least amount of resources in my district. I am also new to this position and learning tremendously about the kinds of things/repertoire that I need to help my students be truly successful as junior high choir students. Your donation is helping us take off on our journey, and will help shape the minds and dreams of many students for several years to come!\r\n My students were so excited when they saw the boxes come into my office! They know that I am always on the hunt for new music and music specific to their individual ensemble's needs, so they were excited to go through and explore the boxes! We received the items right before Christmas, so we spent an entire afternoon sorting through music, listening to several pieces, and getting them organized into their storage boxes for easy access later. Several of the pieces I had on this project were songs from other cultures and in other languages, so it was enthusing to watch them look through/listen to those pieces.\r\n I am equally thankful for the books that were on this project that are going to help me learn how to serve my students in bigger and more creative ways! There are several books that will help with sight reading, singing in rounds/partner songs, older sacred pieces, fun and quirky tunes, and many others yet to be seen/read that I am excited to use this year and many more years to come. You have not only inspired and excited my students, but have lit a new fire inside of me. Our future successes and growth will be because of your thoughtful donation, and for that, we are truly grateful. Thank you again for your donation to my choral classroom.
