My students use it as a comfortable space to gather for read-alouds, whole-group lessons, discussions, and hands-on learning activities. One of my favorite moments is seeing everyone come together on the rug, ready to listen, share ideas, and learn from one another.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the rug, they were so excited! They immediately wanted to sit on it and were thrilled to have a special place in our classroom where we could learn together. It has helped make our classroom feel even more welcoming and gives students a designated space where they can focus and participate.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using the rug during our daily lessons, especially for reading, group discussions, and collaborative activities. These incentives can also help reduce problems such as arguing, yelling, bullying, or distracting the driver. Over time, students can develop better habits and learn that their behavior has consequences, both positive and negative. A bus incentive program can also create a safer and more enjoyable environment for everyone riding the bus.
