The moment my students walked in and saw it, their eyes lit up with excitement. They immediately gathered together on the rug, smiling and commenting on how soft and how excited they were to choose a smiley face to sit on. It has quickly become the heart of our classroom—a space where we meet each morning, share stories, and learn together.\r\n\r\nThis rug has given my students a comfortable, welcoming place to sit and engage during lessons. It helps create a sense of community as we gather for circle time, read-alouds, and group discussions as well as an area to play on with STEM toys during centers. Already, I have noticed that students are more focused and eager to participate because they feel cozy and included in our learning space.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your kindness and generosity. Your gift has made a lasting difference in our classroom, and my students will continue to enjoy and learn on this rug for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1750168253911,"projectUrl":"project/a-fresh-rug-leads-to-successful-kinderg/9384330/","projectTitle":"A Fresh Rug Leads to Successful Kindergarten Fun and Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. France","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10045626_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749226742156","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsfrance-kinderteacher"},{"teacherId":8440050,"projectId":6443523,"letterContent":"When the class games from this project first arrived, my students were beyond excited—they couldn't wait to dive in! I still remember the buzz of energy as they unwrapped the boxes and immediately started planning which games to play first. These resources quickly became a staple in our classroom. We've used them during indoor recess, brain breaks, and team-building activities, and they continue to encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and respectful communication.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite memories was during a cooperative board game where a typically shy student stepped up to lead her group, guiding her peers with confidence and kindness. It was a powerful moment of growth that may not have happened without these engaging tools.\r\n\r\nNow, we continue to integrate these games into our weekly classroom routine. They've become a way to reinforce problem-solving and social-emotional skills while giving students a much-needed mental break.
