The students immediately noticed how bright, soft, and inviting it made our classroom feel. It has quickly become the heart of our room — the place where we gather for morning meetings, story time, and group discussions. The new carpet helps my students stay focused and comfortable, giving them a special spot to learn and share together.\r\n\r\nAlthough the pillows we hoped for were unavailable, we used the remaining funds to add exciting new STEM centers and building tools to our classroom. These hands-on materials have opened up so many opportunities for teamwork, creativity, and problem solving. Students are working together to design structures, test their ideas, and communicate their plans — all while practicing important social and collaborative skills.\r\n\r\nThese resources have truly transformed our classroom into a more engaging and supportive learning environment. Every day, I see students using the carpet as their shared meeting place before diving into their STEM challenges, helping each other, and celebrating their successes together. During dismissal time, some of the students will get the model and talk with each other about what season it is showing or moon phase. It truly benefited our school's Lego Robotics team. This was our first year competing and having a challenge team. Having the extra robot, Lego pieces, trays and computer really helped us compete and have what we needed. \r\n Our team advanced through the local qualifiers and moved to regionals in Alachua. Our initial robot failed right before our next competition, so we were able to rebuild our robot using the new Spike Prime kit you provided to us. Without this back up robot, we would not have been able to compete. The students were so excited and grateful that we had a backup robot and could still continue our work. \r\n They loved having an additional computer so more students could practice coding. It also allowed us to create a backup of our code to have if needed. We used the computer to allow us to code the robots to complete our missions. The trays helped us keep our Legos organized and prevent loss when we were adding to our missions or robot. We were one of the teams that advanced from regionals and competed in the state competition at SeaWorld in Orlando. This was a team highlight and we were so excited to reach our goal.
