Middle school has made building facades (6th grade) that they painted the past few days. 8th grade made amphoras inspired by Greek art that they are glazing. Kindergarten started clay butterflies yesterday and will continue today and tomorrow.\r\n\r\nThe gold and silver sharpies are critical for drawing on and labeling items on dark papers and materials. It's really helping with organizing all our clay projects. \r\n\r\nAfter spring break, high school will get a crack at clay. Art 3 will be doing many projects, and Art 1 will make a cup, pot, or vase plus a little something extra just for them.\r\n\r\nThank you so much. It is messy and fun and something the students have never experienced before. We started this project last year with another school's printing press and now we have our own to use every single year. \r\n\r\nToday my student said, \"Yo, this is kind of tough,\" which from what I understand means she is really enjoying it.
