My students have generally been out of school for months and sometimes years at a time. We are a residential juvenile facility and every little bit of help for the students helps them work harder and have more success as they prepare to go back out to public schools. Notetaking is something that is extremely hard for most of my students. Having access to Guided Notes, which are essentially a basic outline that allows them to fill in the blanks while listening/reading to our curriculum.\r\n\r\nUnfortunately, we do not have enough budget money to furnish these notes to every student in every subject. I have students in reading, English and speech classes at a residential juvenile facility. I have 6-12 grade students and the grade levels are mixed in each class.We have an extensive classroom library thanks to Donors Choose and Break-free Education, but it is difficult to make plans for group book projects.
