Originally I was going to use the items for a summer project for name tags and other classroom start up materials, but after my project was so generously funded, the school year had begun. It was a great time for the funding though as I was able to use the new equipment, a fabulous printer and laminator, for my Flat Stanley project!!\r\nFor the past 20 years I have had my students participate in the Flat Stanley project which involves a wide scope of activities that encompass almost every area of the curriculum including writing, art, technology, public speaking, social studies and more!! The generous donations I received went to great use with this project.\r\nIn the pictures that I have included, you can see a couple of the \"flat people\" that were created for the project. The laminator safely sealed these little people for their long journey across the United States and/or world. We will use the printer to print the thank you letters that will be coming soon as the flats make their way back to Deer Lodge. \r\nAgain, I want to thank all of the generous people that have donated to my project and other projects. The students love to curl up with a good book in the four beanbag chairs that were provided by your generosity.
