The new projector allowed my students to see graphs clearly on a large scale; for example, my student, Nico, recently succeeded in plotting points for algebraic equations because the display was large enough for his visual needs. This clarity has significantly boosted his conceptual understanding and active participation. \r\nAdditionally, night lamps have been vital for my students with cortical vision impairment (CVI). The soft lighting creates a calming environment that encourages my students like Angelikha to practice essential skills like scanning and visual focusing. These lamps also serve as a powerful motivational tool; my students are more engaged and focused during lessons knowing they can use the lamps for visual efficiency activities or as a reward afterward. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1769292627639,"projectUrl":"project/lights-that-help-us-see/10046792/","projectTitle":"Lights That Help Us See","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Joanna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10414426_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770932288824","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/blindlowvision-msjoanna"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7113","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1798,"numTeachers":83,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":37,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":55,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"21.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.7,"schoolId":7113,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ulysses S Grant High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ulysses S Grant High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/grant-community-tech-magnet-high-school/7113"}
