Many of my students experience sensory processing challenges, and having access to fidget tools, weighted lap pads, and calming spaces allow them to manage big emotions in a healthy way. The calm-down corner has become a safe and comforting space where students can take a short break, reset, and return to learning ready to participate again.\r\nThe hands-on learning materials have also had a powerful impact on student engagement. My students learn best when they can touch, move, sort, and explore concepts in concrete ways. The literacy, math, and life skills materials have allowed them to practice important skills through meaningful and interactive activities. Instead of simply listening to a lesson, they are now actively building words, counting objects, sorting items, and practicing real-life tasks that help them gain confidence and independence.\r\nMost importantly, these resources have helped create a classroom where my students feel supported, successful, and excited to learn. I have seen increased focus, greater participation, and more positive interactions among students.
