In the process of changing classrooms, I have also changed grade levels. When this project was written and then funded, I was teaching Kindergarten. I needed hands-on CVC word games/materials so my students could discover making CVC words in a developmentally appropriate way. Since Donorchoose materials stay with the school where the project was funded, my former Kindergarten colleagues have been using these educational resources with their children during their literacy centers. The colorful photos I have included show you how engaging these CVC activities are for their young learners. I appreciate your donations to help this project come to fruition. Although I am not able to use these items with my class, they are being used and enjoyed at Riverside Magnet School. I used these resources with my Kindergarten students at the end of our school year 2024-2025. The children enjoyed these materials very much. They were able to use their imagination and creativity to build new play scenarios with each use. In addition, they were able to share the project learning tools collaboratively which enhanced their social emotional learning. This 2025-2026 school year finds me working with pre-k students. In my pre-k classroom, we are working to increase their ability to use educational resources more appropriately. I look forward to using these exciting items to improve their skills later in the year.\r\nI am grateful for your kindness and generosity in supplying my students with what they need to strengthen their small muscles and help develop their minds through the hands-on challenges these activities offer during their learning center time. The materials funded have inspired my students curiosity and imagination. \r\n\r\nThe stand up magnetic white board has provided students with the opportunity for cooperative learning and a variety of choices of activities to use in this center. Since this board is double sided, it allows two groups of children to work on either side. \r\n\r\nThe magnetic marble run has been a very popular play center where students can use the open ended materials to discover many different ways to build their marble track. It's amazing.
