The new sports equipment has become a cornerstone of our efforts to improve students' mental health.\r\n\r\nOur students are using the new sports equipment in various ways. We've incorporated regular physical activity sessions into our weekly schedule. These sessions include activities like yoga, team sports, and individual exercises. These activities have opened conversations and teaching moments on how to reduce stress and improve mood. Students are also benefiting from building community with one another through teamwork. \r\n\r\nStudents were excited to learn the school could offer them sports equipment. We consulted the school's Student Council on what we should do with some of the equipment and the students came up with a program where we can check equipment out to students up signing a policy agreement. This has been great so far as students have been borrowing sports balls to engage in games at the nearby parks. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to expand our wellness program by incorporating more structured physical education workshops on the benefits of physical activity for mental health. We are hoping to start small pickleball tournaments and hope to expand our \"goat\" yoga with little stuffed plush goats. Your support has truly made a difference, and we are excited to continue building a healthier, happier school environment.
