In an era where students are made to read excerpts and take in short format content, they are not used to reading whole books. \r\nThe students look forward to being able to choose their book. Freedom of choice empowers students to take charge of their learning. They get the opportunity to read after lunch to have a calming learning session. On Fridays, however, it is extra special because they get to grab a flashlight (that donors helped us get) and cozy up somewhere to read! This adds a super fun element that students really enjoy. \r\nMy students who have trouble reading, but still want to read grade level and age appropriate books love the graphic novels and Dog Man series. Students who love a challenge, are enjoying the magical chapter books of Percy Jackson. I send my deepest gratitude in helping me foster this reading culture in my classroom and for helping these young readers grow and learn!","fullyFundedDate":1755746888619,"projectUrl":"project/flashlight-friday-classroom-library-proj/9512056/","projectTitle":"Flashlight Friday Classroom Library Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10099276_orig.png?crop=556,556,x782,y108&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753819366570","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10099276"},{"teacherId":576071,"projectId":9053521,"letterContent":"We were unable to get the Steam readers as they were unavailable.
