Your generosity has made an immediate difference in our classroom, and my students have been so excited to use the new materials. One of the most impactful additions has been the LCD writing tablets. While many people may think of technology as laptops or tablets, these simple reusable writing boards have been incredibly powerful in the classroom. They allow every student to actively participate in lessons at the same time, whether we're practicing vocabulary, responding to reading questions, reviewing skills, or playing collaborative learning games. Students can quickly write, erase, revise, and share their thinking without the pressure that sometimes comes with speaking out loud or putting permanent answers on paper.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting things for students has been how interactive learning has become. The writing tablets make review feel more like a game, and even reluctant learners are eager to participate. Some of my quieter students, who might normally hesitate to raise their hand or share in front of the class, have especially connected with this tool. Being able to quickly jot down their ideas and hold them up has helped build confidence and given them a voice in our classroom discussions. It has been amazing to see students who typically stay in the background become more engaged and willing to take academic risks.\r\n\r\nThe color printer has also made a huge impact on my teaching and student learning. In English Language Arts, visuals and organization make a big difference, especially when introducing complex concepts like literary analysis, grammar skills, or writing structures. Being able to create colorful anchor charts, engaging review materials, and differentiated activities right in my classroom has made lessons more accessible, more exciting, and much more tailored to my students' needs. Even the simple incentives have helped create a positive classroom culture where effort is recognized and celebrated. Because of your generosity, my students are learning in a classroom that feels interactive, welcoming, and full of energy, and for that, we are so incredibly grateful","fullyFundedDate":1757012265016,"projectUrl":"project/raider-launchpad-colorful-learning-swe/9613023/","projectTitle":"Raider Launchpad: Colorful Learning, Sweet Incentives, and Stellar Student Engagement","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Barnes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9088564_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1688153662142","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9088564"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_9906","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1186,"numTeachers":72,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":37,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":54,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":70.8,"schoolId":9906,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Glenn Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Glenn Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/san-angelo-independent-school-district/glenn-middle-school/9906"}
