Because of your generosity, my students have had exciting opportunities to strengthen their balance, coordination, motor planning, and body awareness through movement-based activities. When the materials arrived, the students were immediately excited to explore them. They eagerly practiced balancing, jumping, and moving through obstacle courses while encouraging one another and celebrating their successes. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they mastered new skills and challenged themselves in a fun and supportive environment.\r\n\r\nThese resources have quickly become a valuable part of our daily routine. We use them during outdoor activities and structured motor skill lessons. One of my favorite moments was watching students work together to complete a balance course, cheering for their classmates and demonstrating perseverance when tasks became challenging. The materials have helped students improve not only their physical skills but also their ability to follow directions, take turns, and regulate their bodies throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nAs we continue learning, we will incorporate these resources into new activities that promote teamwork, problem-solving, and healthy movement habits. My students will continue building strength, coordination, and self-confidence while having fun and staying active. Thank you for making these meaningful learning experiences possible. The iPads and Apple Pencil allow students to engage in STEM learning through coding, research, digital writing, and creative design. Students can model math thinking, annotate texts, and design projects that show their understanding in a hands on way. Laminating sheets and printer toner allow us to create durable STEM task cards, directions, and student work displays that can be reused throughout the year. Together, these tools help students stay organized, focused, and confident as they work independently or in small groups.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most about this technology is how interactive and creative it feels. Using the Apple Pencil makes learning more engaging and helps students slow down and focus on their thinking. Many students enjoy being able to design, draw, and problem solve digitally rather than only using paper and pencil. The combination of technology with calming supports like privacy shields, timers, feelings bean bags, and sensory bottles helps students manage emotions, reduce anxiety, and maintain attention during independent work or testing.\r\n\r\nThis technology has been especially impactful for students who struggle with focus, confidence, or self-regulation. Students who are hesitant writers feel more comfortable revising their work digitally, while students who need structure benefit from clear routines supported by timers and visual tools. I have seen students become more motivated and engaged when they feel both emotionally supported and excited about learning. With these materials, students learn that success in STEM requires not only creativity and problem-solving, but also focus, and patience.","fullyFundedDate":1760712849106,"projectUrl":"project/building-focus-and-creativity-in-4th-gra/9727743/","projectTitle":"Building Focus and Creativity in 4th Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lopez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8837483_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y393&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1697385680694","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8837483"},{"teacherId":178237,"projectId":9541733,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity towards this project. From the moment they saw their pictures on the walls, their faces lit up with pride and excitement. Seeing themselves represented in the classroom made each student feel valued, seen, and important. It transformed our space from just a room where we learn into a community where everyone belongs. Each photo serves as a daily reminder that every student is a unique and essential part of our classroom family.\r\n\r\nAllowing students to decorate their photo displays added another layer of connection and ownership. They took time to personalize their space with drawings, colors, and words that represented who they are, which gave them a chance to express their individuality and creativity. This process helped students learn more about one another, celebrate their differences, and find common ground.\r\n\r\nNow, as we go through our day, these photos remind us that we are all part of something special. They encourage kindness, teamwork, and respect. Thanks to the incredible help from my donors, my students now have access to a variety of art materials that truly inspire their creativity. Before this donation, we often had to share limited supplies or use dried-out markers, which made it difficult for students to fully express their ideas. The organization's contribution made it possible for every student to have the tools they need to create colorful, detailed, and imaginative artwork.\r\n\r\nThis donation has had a meaningful impact on our classroom environment. My students are now more engaged and excited to participate in art projects, and they take great pride in the work they produce. Students are especially excited about printing directly from their Chromebooks, which gives them instant access to their work in a tangible format. The scanning and copying features have also encouraged collaboration, as students can share and revise their projects with ease.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is seeing their ideas in vivid color and holding their projects in their hands.
