The books have opened doors to imagination, curiosity, and creativity, allowing students to see themselves in characters and discover new worlds beyond our classroom walls.\r\n\r\nThese donated books are now a treasured part of our classroom library. When the books I requested arrived, my students were eager to start reading them. They are so excited with the books purchased that they constantly ask me if they can take the books home, which I have allowed them to do. Not only that but I have also implemented a 30 minute block at the end of the day for students to just read a book since they're eager to finish their book! \r\n\r\nTo help them develop a passion of reading, students have been able to use the rockers and pillows to make reading much more engaging. In my class, I already had wobbly stools, and a yoga ball, so adding these new seating choices gives my students a wide variety of seating options to choose from when they're expected to read. \r\n\r\nAs for the other supplies purchased, students use this supplies to help them during our on-grade level curriculum. Most of my students are Multilingual learners and Special Education students so reading grade level texts can be difficult for them. To ease this struggle, I allow my students to take notes on sticky notes and/or whiteboards. \r\n\r\nOverall, with this project funded, it has not only helped ease my students' struggle in reading grade level texts, but also enhanced their interest in reading for fun!","fullyFundedDate":1760538145372,"projectUrl":"project/turning-pages-sparking-minds/9826673/","projectTitle":"Turning Pages, Sparking Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ortiz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10311324_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760399656426","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10311324"},{"teacherId":10320682,"projectId":9845530,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donation of supplies for my ML learners and our classroom. Students are able to design, prototype, and create physical models, which strengthens their understanding of key STEM concepts such as geometry, measurement, engineering design, and problem-solving. This process supports deeper comprehension because students can visualize difficult concepts and immediately see how their decisions impact the final product.\r\n\r\n3D printing also boosts engagement and motivation. The opportunity to design something that becomes a real object helps students take ownership of their learning and encourages creativity. Even students who are reluctant in traditional academic settings often excel in design and building tasks.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, using a 3D printer promotes collaboration and communication. Students frequently work in teams to plan, troubleshoot, and refine their designs, practicing important skills such as giving peer feedback, listening, and iterating based on results.\r\n\r\nThe experience naturally builds future-ready skills, exposing students to technology, engineering workflows, and digital design tools that are increasingly common in modern careers. By developing spatial reasoning, computational thinking, and perseverance through trial and error, students gain confidence in their ability to solve real-world problems using technology.\r\n\r\nOverall, a 3D printer in 4th grade enriches instruction by blending creativity, technology, and hands-on learning—supporting academic growth while preparing students for the innovative demands of the future.","fullyFundedDate":1752154538306,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-future-innovators-with-a-clas/9391146/","projectTitle":"Empowering Future Innovators With a Classroom 3D Printer","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Croce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp404126_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x124,y163&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748880736282","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/404126"},{"teacherId":10308243,"projectId":9815823,"letterContent":"We love our new materials in the classroom.
