From preparing \"orders\" in the coffee shop to practicing daily living skills in the apartment setup, your donations have given our students the tools they need to grow in independence and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on my students' faces when they saw the fully stocked coffee shop and apartment was truly priceless. They couldn't wait to jump in and start using everything from making the coffee, lemonade, and tea from greeting the customers in a to setting that is friendly. One student proudly said, \"I feel like a real barista!\" The students love this class. This real life opportunity have sparked new conversations about responsibility, teamwork, and self-care—lessons that extend far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're using these new spaces to support our current life skills unit, where students rotate through tasks like cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and customer service. Each week brings new scenarios and challenges, and students are eager to take on leadership roles within the coffee shop and apartment. Your contribution didn't just supply materials—it created a safe, exciting space for students to explore independence, practice communication, and build skills that will serve them for years to come.
