This created a wonderful opportunity to talk with our students about caring for others and how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our community service project, our students will help organize and prepare the snacks to share with members of our school and local community. Through the activities, students are practicing letter recognition, beginning sounds, sight words, counting, number sense, handwriting, and comprehension skills in fun and engaging ways.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, learning is hands-on and interactive. Students enjoy working through activities independently, with partners, and in small groups. The workbooks provide opportunities for students to review skills they have learned throughout the year while also keeping their minds active and engaged as summer approaches. Many students are especially excited because the activities feel fun and achievable, which helps build their confidence as learners.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who have struggled academically this year are showing increased enthusiasm when using the workbooks because they can experience success at their own pace. Other students who already love learning are eager to complete additional pages and challenge themselves further. These resources are giving all students the opportunity to continue growing over the summer and helping families feel supported with meaningful learning tools they can use at home.
