The calculators were truly appreciated, especially because they came just in time for state testing. Because of your kindness, my students were able to walk into their tests feeling more prepared, supported, and confident. Having reliable calculators may seem like a small thing, but for students who are already nervous about testing, it can remove a major worry. Instead of wondering whether their calculator would turn on, freeze, give an incorrect answer, or stop working in the middle of a problem, they were able to focus on showing what they know. That confidence matters, and your donation helped provide it.\r\nBefore receiving these calculators, our classroom calculators were becoming unreliable and, at times, unsafe. Some of our old calculators would make errors in calculations, which caused confusion and frustration for students who were trying their best. Others would turn on but not actually function, while some would not turn on at all. At times, the batteries would expand inside the calculators, creating a safety concern and making the calculators unusable. These issues made it difficult for students to trust the tools they were using. In science and math, especially during testing and problem-solving activities, students need to know that their materials are dependable. Your donation helped solve that problem in such a meaningful way. It gave our students access to tools that work, tools they can trust, and tools that help them feel successful.\r\nThese calculators will continue to impact students far beyond this school year. We plan to store them carefully on the classroom wall so they are easy to access, organized, and protected for future use. We will teach students how to care for them properly so they remain in good condition for many classes to come. This donation will be especially helpful in 8th grade physical science, where students use calculations often for topics such as speed, force, motion, energy, density, and other important science concepts. Having dependable calculators means students can spend less time fighting with broken equipment and more time learning, thinking, and building confidence in their science skills. Your generosity has helped create a stronger learning environment not just for my current students, but for many future students as well.\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in our classroom and supporting our students' success. Your donation provided more than calculators—it provided confidence, fairness, safety, and opportunity. My students were grateful to have calculators they could count on, and I am grateful to have donors like you who understand how much classroom resources matter. Because of your kindness, our students were able to approach state testing and classroom learning with one less obstacle in their way. Thank you for helping us count on success, one student and one calculation at a time.","fullyFundedDate":1776107563694,"projectUrl":"project/count-on-success-reliable-calculators-f/10136686/","projectTitle":"Count on Success: Reliable Calculators for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Belford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10047890_orig.png?crop=1000,1000,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1778108071992","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10047890"},{"teacherId":10047890,"projectId":9949916,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution to \"Brain Boost Bites: Supporting Hungry Learners.\" Because of your kindness, we were able to provide snacks for 97 students for almost a month and a half. That is not just a donation of food—it is a donation of comfort, focus, dignity, and care.\r\nWith your support, we created a simple Class Needs Ticket system. Students who truly need a small snack to help them focus can quietly fill out a ticket and place it in a cup—no questions asked, no embarrassment, and no need to explain. I tell my students:\r\n\"Sometimes people come to school hungry, and I never want that to stop learning. Each of you will get Class Needs Tickets for the days you truly need a small snack to help you focus. You do not need to explain. Just turn one in quietly. Please be honest so this stays available for everyone. Want snacks are different and can be purchased with Dojo points.\"\r\nI am proud to share that my students have used this system responsibly. They have shown honesty, maturity, and appreciation. More importantly, I have seen improvements in their focus, participation, and overall morale. Your donation helped remove at least one worry from their day, and that means more than words can fully express.\r\nThank you for believing in this project and for seeing the value in supporting students' basic needs so they can learn. Your generosity helped create a classroom where students feel cared for, respected, and ready to do their best. I pray we can continue finding ways to keep this going next school year, and I hope to see even more positive results in the future.\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping feed hungry learners and for making a real difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1772727925423,"projectUrl":"project/brain-boost-bites-supporting-hungry-lea/9949916/","projectTitle":"Brain Boost Bites: Supporting Hungry Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Belford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10047890_orig.png?crop=1000,1000,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1778108071992","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10047890"},{"teacherId":10047890,"projectId":9403914,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in providing sketching and doodle-note supplies for my classroom.
