Because of your generosity, my high school artists now have the supplies they need to create handmade cards for members of our community who often need encouragement the most, our elderly neighbors and the brave men and women serving in the military.\r\n\r\nThis project is about much more than art supplies. Through card making, students are learning how their creativity can make a meaningful difference in someone else's life. Each card they design carries a personal message of gratitude, hope, and compassion. Your support is helping students realize that their talents can bring comfort, connection, and joy to others they may never meet.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, this experience is powerful. They are not only developing artistic skills, but also empathy, generosity, and a deeper understanding of community. Knowing that people like you care about their work motivates them to put their hearts into every card they create.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, these students will be able to send hundreds of small pieces of encouragement into the world—messages that remind someone they are seen, appreciated, and not alone.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this project possible and for investing in both the creativity and compassion of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1765924951670,"projectUrl":"project/cards-for-military-and-senior-citizens/9865282/","projectTitle":"Cards for Military and Senior Citizens","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perkins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8917175_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1673281118105","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8917175"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_10535","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":872,"numTeachers":60,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":23,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":63,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.3,"schoolId":10535,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Gainesville High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Gainesville High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/gainesville-independent-school-district/gainesville-high-school/10535"}
