Because of your support, students now have engaging, hands-on materials that make practicing these important skills both fun and effective. The games and flashcards encourage repeated practice in a way that feels enjoyable rather than overwhelming.\r\n\r\nStudents are genuinely excited to use these materials. They eagerly practice with them during math time, and the games have become a favorite educational time filler when lessons are finished early. They are even used as a reward for completing other work, which motivates students to stay focused while reinforcing essential math skills at the same time.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a positive and engaging learning environment where students can build strong math foundations. Since receiving the Storyworks magazines, we've seen a noticeable increase in my 4th graders' excitement and motivation to read. These texts have opened the door to so many rich learning opportunities, and I'd love to share a little about what they've meant for our students.\r\n\r\nWith Storyworks, my students practice reading fluency, strengthen their comprehension, and apply grade-level writing skills. Each issue includes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, allowing us to explore genre features, analyze author's craft, identify text structures, and build vocabulary in ways that feel natural and engaging. The embedded assignments align directly with our standards and often enhance what I'm already teaching, giving students meaningful, standards-based practice with each selection.\r\n\r\nReading time has become one of the most joyful parts of our day. Students read independently, in partners, and in small groups as we dig into the articles together. We annotate, discuss, debate, and write about what we've read. Because the articles are current and relevant to students' lives, they're able to make strong real-world connections—something that has deepened their comprehension and sparked genuine curiosity.\r\n\r\nI've seen students who previously struggled to stay engaged become eager to open each new issue. Several reluctant readers now ask if they can take the magazines home or read ahead, while strong readers enjoy diving into deeper questions and extended writing prompts. The variety of genres ensures that every student finds something that resonates with them.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has brought high-interest, meaningful reading materials into our classroom, and it has truly made a difference.
