Your donations are making a real difference in the lives of our students, especially those with disabilities or who need extra support developing social-emotional skills.\r\n\r\nWith your help, we now have wonderful tools to help students learn how to recognize, express, and manage their emotions in positive ways. Items like Sensory Tubes, Feelings Sensory Bottles, the Calm Ball, and Squishy Sensory Discs will give students hands-on ways to practice self-regulation, focus, and emotional expression. These tools are essential for helping students build confidence, resilience, and meaningful social connections with peers.\r\n\r\nThe students are already excited to explore these new resources! They can't wait to use them in class to try new strategies, calm themselves when they feel overwhelmed, and communicate their feelings more effectively. This project allows me to work more closely with students on their social-emotional growth, giving each child the support they need to succeed academically and personally.\r\n\r\nYour generosity makes it possible for me to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive. A special thank you goes to Synchrony Bank for matching donations and making our store possible. Because of your kindness, our PBIS Rocket Store is now fully stocked with exciting goodies for our students.\r\n\r\nThe students are already buzzing with excitement about being able to shop next week. They've been earning their Rocket Bucks through positive behavior and hard work, and now they'll have the chance to choose from a wide variety of items such as pop-its, keychains, temporary tattoos, bouncy balls, fidgets, stickers, toys, Play-Doh, putty, slime, pencils, and their favorite snacks—spicy chips, cookies, lollipops, candy, and chocolate. Some students are so excited about the snacks that they would rather choose those than toys! Snacks are especially important to our students because they are a fun treat that they don't always get at home, and having the opportunity to select something to eat makes them feel rewarded, independent, and celebrated for their hard work.\r\n\r\nHow did this project impact your students' learning?\r\nThe Rocket Store helps students directly connect their positive behavior choices with meaningful rewards. It teaches responsibility, goal-setting, and patience as they save their Rocket Bucks to purchase items or snacks they really want. Beyond behavior, the store naturally builds financial literacy skills—students practice budgeting, decision-making, and delayed gratification, which are important life skills that extend beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhat were you able to accomplish in your teaching because of the materials provided?\r\nWith a fully stocked store, I can now consistently run PBIS shopping days, which strengthens our behavior program and keeps students motivated throughout the year. The Rocket Store also gives me opportunities to weave in lessons about math, financial literacy, and real-world responsibility, all in a way that feels fun and exciting to the students.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful to all our donors and to Synchrony Bank for helping us make this a reality. Today, we celebrated with our Blast Into Space Karaoke Glow Party. The students could not stop smiling and were so grateful for such a fun event. They were creating necklaces and bracelets, dancing, and singing the whole time.\r\n\r\nThese special moments wouldn't have been possible without your support. The joy on our students' faces was priceless, and it's clear how much these events mean to them.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to use the more of the supplies for our upcoming Holiday Crafts Party.
