I've found that student engagement goes through the rough with hands on projects and it allows students a comfortable way to show what they have learned or are in the process of learning. \r\n\r\nStudents were excited to see all of the items! They were happy to have some snacks and hot drinks as well. Anything new that they get to use is great for them. \r\n\r\nWe will continue to use these supplies while they last so that students can continue to build community with each other. They will show what skills they have mastered and show what they can do by going above and beyond expectations. These items have made a lasting impact and have given me what I need to help students succeed. \r\n\r\nThank you.","fullyFundedDate":1769395281997,"projectUrl":"project/crafts-tech-and-supplies-every-multili/10057174/","projectTitle":"Crafts, Tech, and Supplies Every Multilingual Needs to Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Mazan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9286661"},{"teacherId":9286661,"projectId":9851181,"letterContent":"Students are enjoying all of the new resources from this project! Students are happy to have the hot chocolate on chilly days and just as something warm to drink in a perpetually cold classroom. It helps them share and speak to each other in a calm and relaxed way. \r\n\r\nThe technology has allowed students to improve their listening and reading skills by using some audiobooks that I have available for them. And, the headphones allow them to practice speaking by recording their voice and listening to how they sound. \r\n\r\nMy next steps are to keep getting students more and more comfortable with each other, technology to help them improve their English skills, and provide opportunities so that they can express themselves throught art projects as well. \r\n\r\nI can't say enough about how much of an impact these supplies help my students. When I tell them about how I was able to get the supplies, through donors choose, it helps them know that people care about them even though you will most likely never meet. It makes them want to help and care for each other even more.","fullyFundedDate":1768486441712,"projectUrl":"project/speaking-listening-and-hot-coco/9851181/","projectTitle":"Speaking, Listening, and Hot Coco","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Mazan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9286661"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_35538","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1511,"numTeachers":73,"percentFrplEligible":87,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":44,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":72.5,"schoolId":35538,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fort Vancouver High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fort Vancouver High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/vancouver-school-district-37/ft-vancouver-high-school/35538"}
