The students have enjoyed learning how to play dominos. There was not one student that had ever played dominos before. At first, they were confused but eventually got the hang of it. They used the dominos to learn playing skills while practicing counting by 5s. They get so happy when they get to shout \"Domino\" and win that round. They have been learning that it takes strategy and math skills to play the game correctly.\r\nAnother fun activity they have enjoyed was the Math Jenga. They have been practicing their multiplication skills using this game as well. They have been trying to pull the Jenga piece with the largest product from the tower in order to win. I would say the Math Jenga is one of their favorites from the excitement I hear when I let them know that it is \"Jenga\" time.\r\nOn Fridays, we use the flash cards in order to practice their skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions. I mix all the flash cards and have them battle each other for a chance to win a prize. The student with the most tally marks at the end of the time is the winner. They all get excited to play this game.\r\nAll the items provided have been helpful in keeping the students interested and motivated to do math. It is so much more fun to practice the skills in this way instead of using only worksheets. Because of the kind donations, the students have been able to experience a math enrichment class that allows them to have hands on activities.
