While many families use technology at home for entertainment or communication, the 3D printer has shown students that technology can also be a powerful learning tool. Students are now combining art, problem-solving, design thinking, and engineering skills as they create original projects from start to finish. They are learning how to brainstorm ideas, sketch prototypes, use digital design software, and then watch their creations come to life layer by layer on the printer.\r\n\r\nThe excitement surrounding the 3D printer has been incredible. Students are especially fascinated by the way their digital designs become tangible objects they can hold in their hands. Even students who are sometimes hesitant to participate in traditional classroom activities have become deeply engaged during STEAM lessons. The printer has sparked curiosity, collaboration, and perseverance as students work through design challenges and celebrate successful creations together.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding impacts has been seeing students who may not always shine in academic settings discover confidence and pride through this technology. Several students who are naturally hands-on learners have become leaders in the classroom, eagerly helping classmates troubleshoot designs and sharing new ideas. The 3D printer has given many students an opportunity to express themselves creatively while building important skills in critical thinking, innovation, and teamwork.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students are gaining exposure to technology and career-connected learning experiences that will benefit them far beyond elementary school. You are helping inspire the next generation of artists, engineers, designers, and problem-solvers.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students, their creativity, and their future. Your support has truly made a lasting impact at Fremont Elementary School.","fullyFundedDate":1767194641991,"projectUrl":"project/elementary-art-students-will-rise-to-new/9688537/","projectTitle":"Elementary Art Students Will Rise to New Heights With Steam!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jenney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7898034_orig.jpg?crop=994,994,x3,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660000522563","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7898034"},{"teacherId":10439112,"projectId":10111805,"letterContent":"I am so incredibly grateful for your generous support in helping fund my Orton-Gillingham training. Because of you, I now have the opportunity to grow as an educator and better serve my students in a way that will truly change their lives. Your kindness and willingness to invest in education means more than I can fully express.\r\n\r\nAs someone who works closely with students who struggle with reading, I see every day how deeply literacy impacts a child's confidence, independence, and overall success in school. Many of my students work twice as hard just to keep up, and without the right tools and instruction, it can feel frustrating and discouraging for them. That's why this training is so important. Orton-Gillingham is a structured, research-based approach that gives educators like me the strategies needed to support students in a way that is explicit, systematic, and truly effective.\r\n\r\nBecause of your donation, I will be able to implement these strategies directly into my work with students. This means more targeted support, more individualized instruction, and more opportunities for my students to experience success. It means helping a student finally decode a word they've struggled with, watching their confidence grow as reading becomes less intimidating, and giving them skills they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.\r\n\r\nYour support doesn't just impact me—it impacts every single student I work with now and in the future. The knowledge and training I gain from this experience will continue to shape my teaching for years to come.
