Your support for our project, \"Fueling Minds and Building Skills: Math, Literacy, and Healthy Habits,\" made it possible to provide essential school supplies, healthy snacks, and resources for our after-school community service club, Hornets HOPE (Helping Other People Excel). The impact of your kindness has been felt in every corner of our learning environment—academically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.\r\n\r\nAcademically, the school supplies you funded—especially the pocket folders and composition books—have made a tremendous difference. Each student received a folder to help organize notes, graphic organizers, and handouts, giving them a reliable system to track their progress and responsibilities. The composition books have become a place where students memorialize their learning—jotting down key vocabulary, journaling their reflections, and working through math problems step-by-step. These tools have fostered ownership and confidence in their learning process. For many of my students, organization was a challenge, but now, with these foundational tools, they are better prepared and more engaged than ever.\r\n\r\nPhysically, the donation of healthy snacks has helped meet a vital need. Several of my students come to school hungry or with limited access to nutritious food during the day. Having snacks on hand has helped restore energy, improve focus, and increase participation—especially during long afternoons and our after-school HOPE club. A granola bar or fruit cup may seem small, but to a hungry middle schooler, it's a gift that says, \"You matter.\" These moments of nourishment directly support their ability to learn and grow.\r\n\r\nEmotionally, your support has also helped foster a deeper sense of care and community. Through Hornets HOPE, students use donated craft materials and snacks to create teacher appreciation gift bags filled with treats and motivational notes. They design cards with uplifting messages, decorate bags with love, and hand-deliver them to staff members across our school. It is beautiful to witness students—many of whom have experienced challenges themselves—expressing empathy and gratitude toward others. These acts of kindness have strengthened their emotional intelligence and deepened their sense of purpose.\r\n\r\nSpiritually, the impact runs even deeper. In our classroom and HOPE club, we often talk about the importance of giving back, encouraging one another, and being a light in our community. Your gift allowed students not only to receive but also to give. They've experienced the joy of service—writing notes that inspire, building gift bags that brighten someone's day, and learning that they have the power to make a difference. This sense of belonging and purpose lifts spirits and sows seeds of hope that will last well beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you to all of you wonderful donors! Your generosity has been a true blessing. You've provided more than just supplies—you've opened doors, inspired learning, and helped shape a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and seen. Thank you for believing in our students and for choosing to invest in their futures. Because of you, our students are not only building academic skills—they're becoming stronger, more compassionate, and more confident versions of themselves.","fullyFundedDate":1756142824899,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-minds-and-hearts-healthy-habits/9548390/","projectTitle":"Fueling Minds and Hearts: Healthy Habits, School Supplies & Hope!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9703954_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754529674515","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9703954"},{"teacherId":9715878,"projectId":9146422,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donations.
