We planned for over 6 months, and the students were SO excited to begin raising them. The back storage room of our classroom became the \"chick room\" where all of the amazing supplies you provided was used to raise the chicks! Last weekend the chicks moved out to their coop, on the grass near our classroom. This project has been so beneficially for my class and the students have so much pride and love for their chickens. \r\n\r\nOur official after school club, named \"The Cluck Club\" began meeting in February. This group of 4th graders has gotten to help raise the chickens and learn more about raising farm animals. We have had 4H and FFA presentations and the students even got to meet baby goats! This club has been an amazing opportunity for kids who don't have access to animals in their day-to-day lives. At school, they get to help take care of our chickens and they spend their lunch breaks and recesses visiting the chicks. \r\n\r\nThank you again for helping make this dream a reality.
