It's been a long time since you donated, so I apologize for the wait, but our robotics season just kicked off after a summer of anticipation and preparation (which was much better due to your help). \r\n\r\nThanks to you, our season is off to a great start. Students have applied, been accepted, and are organized into teams. We are starting to learn about this year's competition theme and missions. Students are building robots (shown in the photos) and are excited to have more options for building than ever before.\r\n\r\nAs you know, LEGO materials are expensive, so we have always been short on materials. Many students would join robotics but then be disappointed to not get time building and coding the actual robots. Due to your generosity, we are reaching a level of support where I can guarantee every student who joins robotics will have an opportunity to learn problem-solving and coding skills using the materials we have.","fullyFundedDate":1742167327848,"projectUrl":"project/engage-students-in-lego-robotics/9175487/","projectTitle":"Engage Students in LEGO Robotics","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Pitter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9969859_orig.jpg?crop=2181,2181,x0,y101&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742058270293","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9969859"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36603","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":429,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":62,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":70,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":69.1,"schoolId":36603,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Franklin Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Franklin Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/spokane-public-schools/franklin-elementary-school/36603"}
