I was able to provide every student in my homeroom with two brand new mechanical pencils and an eraser every first of the month. I also was able to keep a well supplied stock for students in my other classes to always have access to a pencil in my class whether they had one of their own or not. It made class go a lot smoother not having to worry about if a student had a pencil or if they had to borrow one from a friend. Graphic novels were not popular when I was their age, so I am happy to see them taking interest in reading, even if it looks different than traditional reading!\r\n\r\nThese novels help my students' creativity in their own writing. We are currently writing fictional narratives and these books will help students with many important aspects of their writing, such as plot development, imagery, and characterization.
