Having access to high-interest books also allows us to work on building stamina, vocabulary, and fluency—skills that are essential for developing lifelong readers.\r\nReading in our classroom is now a joyful and highly anticipated part of the day. We also incorporate these new books into read-alouds and partner reading, creating opportunities for discussion and collaboration. They loved when they were able to use the variety colors of thin markers to create book characters in the settings from the stories. They also enjoyed using the colored pencils as well. Then could add details with them easily.\r\n My kindergartners love to paint, but can get messy at times. The paint sticks were fun and less messy.
