One student shared that writing in her journal \"helps my brain feel less crowded,\" which was such a powerful reminder of the value these materials bring.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new journals, fidgets, reflection tools, and calming materials, their faces lit up. Many of them explored the items right away, excitedly sharing with classmates which tools helped them focus or relax. Several students who typically struggle with transitions now reach for the tools independently, showing real growth in self-regulation. It has been wonderful to watch them recognize their own needs and choose appropriate coping strategies without prompting.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our next steps include weaving these journals into our weekly reflections, goal-setting activities, and small-group discussions. The braided wire has really helped students not break them! Students are able to use the headphones for interactive labs in science, reflex math, and are able to work at their own pace without feeling the pressure of other students. They are comfortable for students, and they all love them! The stickers were used to label each pocket to help keep the headphones neatly stored. The headphones are also labeled with corresponding stickers. This has been so helpful in keeping them organized.
