With the additional funds and a few more donations, a Tubano drum was purchased for the classroom. \r\n\r\nThe addition of the drum has given students more opportunities to play during each class. Our circle time is even more precious for the younger students as they have an opportunity to sing and take turns playing the drum. \r\n\r\nThank you! Each class period a hand full of students would be disappointed because they had to \"air play\" while others were actually playing, and no-one wants to \"air play\" while others are actually creating music. Our students, however, would continue to persevere knowing accommodations would be made to ensure all students had the opportunity to play the xylophones; but even with rotating players the disappointment was still present and the learning process slower due to the necessary repetition of learning sequences. - The optimal solution was to add more xylophones; but how? YOU! \r\n\r\nBecause of YOU and your generous donations, YOU helped create an optimal learning environment in the music room for our students.
