The students are engaging in discussions about the articles and learning lots of new information.\r\nUsing Storyworks we are able to access different types of language arts standards that we don't always have time to get to, like poetry and plays. This resources has given the students more opportunities to collaborate and have fun while learning.\r\nWith Scholastic Math, this resource uses real like situations to create standards based math problems. We will use our Spanish texts to read subjects that interest them as well as better understand our curriculum with translated texts. \r\n\r\nOur standing desk has helped them feel more comfortable when they have to present in front of the class. It has already made such a huge difference as far as organization and accessibilty of the classroom library. Previously our books were just stacked in cabinets that were not accessible to the students or stuffed in these holding racks wtih no organization. now the books are sorted by topic and the students are spending more time reading. The rug is also a great addition because we only have one rocking chair in that area and some floor cushions, but now the students can also sit or relax on the rug to read.
