This is my second year at this school. I have been so fortunate to receive this and another Donors Choose fund to help build up supplies and tools in an art room that was basically empty when I walked in to begin teaching. \r\n\r\nThe biggest impact was on the 3rd through 5th grade students as they had limited exposure to all the possible art supplies and tools that can be a part of an art studio classroom. They were used to old supplies that were minimal as well as supplies that were lower quality. It helped them trust me more with challenging projects I am presenting to them and get them excited to try new things. \r\n\r\nAs their new art teacher I have been so grateful to have this support as it provided and still provides me with all the \"things\" I need to provide a high quality art education for so many students. Each grade level has completed a couple of big projects this fall. Once we return from our winter break we will begin more work that will benefit from the making experiences this fall.
