Previously, we had no storage for STEM materials. The many boxes had to be stored above classroom cupboards. Through your generous support, we were able to make all of our wonderful STEM materials accessible for students self-selection. \r\n\r\nEvery day, the students literally rush to the STEM station to collaborate with friends. I have documented so much reciprocal language growth and problem-solving as well as self-efficacy among my students. \r\n\r\nWe recently completed a project on the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. My 5 and 6 year old students were given the challenge to collaborate and build a longhouse. Each group had to determine the best building materials to use in construction. With a multitude of materials at their fingertips this was a highly-engaging and brain-building project.
