These materials supported our weekly themes and gave students concrete ways to build, count, and create while practicing collaboration and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nAs we transition into the school year, we plan to continue using these resources to support hands-on STEM exploration. My students were so excited to meet the new robots and give them names. \r\n\r\nThe cooper robots are so cute and user-friendly. Students loved coding them using the arrow buttons on their heads to program them to move in a certain direction. The cool thing about these robots, that sets them apart from other arrow-coding bots is that they have a facial screen that changes expressions as the robots are moving. They also make sounds and can play music, making them more interactive than other tech toys. \r\n\r\nThe car set was also really cool and offered a nice challenge for students to complete. It involved building a track then using color-coded pieces to direct the car through the maze to pick up and drop off its load of marbles. It was a lot more difficult than it seemed at first which was great for my older students. \r\n\r\nThank you again for gifting us these wonderful learning resources so my students can build a strong foundation in STEM.","fullyFundedDate":1746683141666,"projectUrl":"project/tech-perts-in-training/9263199/","projectTitle":"Tech-perts in Training","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simpson-Luna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2876606_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753101900844","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/simpson-luna"},{"teacherId":3014638,"projectId":9023961,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for you extremely generous donation to our classroom! Allowing my students to \"Think Outside the Box\" for literacy has increased their engagement tenfold and we are moving and grooving with our encoding and decoding of words in a fun and meaningful way! The Magna Tiles are a favorite activity in our room as students utilize them as sound boxes to identify the sounds they hear and blend the sounds together as they push the magnatiles together to lock in that blend. Having that kinesthetic and visual has greatly increased their fluency rate! \r\nThe smiles and exclamations of joy at using Magna Tiles, Sand Trays and the paint trays to help our students learn to identify sounds using 5 senses has shown tremendous growth with my students. We use the clipboards everyday for our dictation block. The attention to detail and the realistic quality they have from the skin complexion to the unique hairstyles is outstanding. But what I really appreciate is the inclusion of male characters.
