The futon and pillow covers allowed for the physical space to become more welcoming and provide a space students to hang out and compete work for their college aspirations. This past year I noticed a plethora of students coming to my classroom during break and lunch. Not only was it for them to hangout but it was an opportunity for me to connect with them with their aspirations. The materials you donated will allow students to talk about their higher education aspiration but also complete tasks needed to apply for college\r\n\r\nFillmore High School provides a period for students to receive additional support. This coming school year will be my second year running a period for seniors to work on college applications. Having your donations this coming school year will enhance the experience of the students to feel inspired to work on their applications.
