One of the most powerful changes I have seen has been their excitement when working with new supplemental materials that align with the science of reading. These materials—including posters, activities, and vivid charts—have transformed the way my students view literacy. What once may have felt like a challenge to some now feels like an adventure filled with discovery, fun, and success.\r\n\r\nFrom the very beginning, I noticed how eager my students were to dive into the colorful visuals and hands-on activities. The science of reading approach has given them the tools to break down words, decode sounds, and build a solid foundation for comprehension. But it was the supplemental materials that truly brought these skills to life. The posters served as constant reminders of strategies they could use, while the charts provided clarity and support that allowed them to see their progress in real time. The activities were engaging and interactive, giving every student a chance to practice their skills in a way that felt meaningful and rewarding.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting for me to witness is the shift in my students' mindset toward reading. Many of them started the year hesitant, unsure of their abilities, or even reluctant to pick up a book. Now, I see them leaning into the challenge with smiles on their faces and enthusiasm in their voices. They proudly reference the posters during independent work, collaborate during reading centers, and celebrate small victories when they master a new sound or tackle a difficult passage. The materials have truly built their confidence, and that confidence has led to a genuine love for reading. They are not only learning important literacy skills—they are developing a lifelong passion for reading. The love for reading that is growing in my classroom is a direct reflection of the support and resources we've been given.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for supporting early literacy and for helping to build this passion in my students. These resources have gone beyond improving skills; they have ignited a love for reading that I know will continue to flourish as they move forward in their education.","fullyFundedDate":1683693024260,"projectUrl":"project/literacy-rock-stars-with-the-science-of/7361692/","projectTitle":"Literacy Rock Stars with the Science of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6927068_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1637292812771","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6927068"},{"teacherId":4537986,"projectId":9044380,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity.
