The teacher models how to read by reading these texts to the students so they see first hand how a good reader reads. The students pick up good comprehension skills because they listen to it and the teacher asks them questions about the story and discusses it with them. How the words are formulated also helps the students to see and hear all parts of the words too.\r\nThese books are also in our classroom library. The students have access to these books throughout the day to look at themselves and practice reading. Hands-on activities are a huge part of learning. It gives each student a chance to pracice their words, hold these books and look at the pictures. We have a wide variety of students with a wide variety of interests. The students have access to these books when they finish their lessons as well as during their centers time. This usually ends up have a book in hand roughly between 30 and 45 minutes. The more these students have access to books the better their reading skills are. \r\nWe graciously thank you for your donations!
