The Students initially saw the sign I posted to get them excited. Then all the questions came, \"What is the sign for? What does that mean, Legos at Lunch?\" This brought anticipation and excitement about there actually being Legos during Lunch that they could build. We have made a SOP- Standard Operating Procedure to access the Legos. The Legos are set up for students to access by looking through the different Lego bags with the different sets and then using the sign up to check them out. They take them to a clean table to build alone or with friends. When they are done they can leave them in the bag for others to see or pull them apart for others to build. I love to see all the different students who are interested in building.\r\n Some of the comments I have heard while the students are building are: \"This is the best thing that has happened to this school!\" \"Whoever thought to do this was a genius.\" \"Can we take them home we are done building them?\" \"Will you be getting more/bigger sets?\" I enjoy watching my students have a good time with the Legos that were donated to our school!","fullyFundedDate":1749144561937,"projectUrl":"project/lego-bring-laughter-at-lunch/9285756/","projectTitle":"LEGO Bring Laughter at Lunch","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Clay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4962829"},{"teacherId":9243143,"projectId":8577554,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping to fund our 3D MakerSpace. Our new printer has truly been an asset to our classroom these past couple months, and I have loved watching my students grow their interest in STEAM creativity in our classroom. We use our new 3D printer and materials for a multitude of projects and activities such as incentives for our PBIS store from little articulated fidget toys to keychains, projects for both my social studies and others, and even ways to create classroom bonding.\r\n\r\nMany of my students have used the 3D printer to create miniatures of storms and different types of severe weather like tornadoes for their science class this quarter. Others have been practicing with TinkerCad to create keychains with their names, miniature models of historic buildings, and other elements that bring them joy - especially once they get to print off and see the completed result. The other teachers on our team at Falcon Middle School love that the students have access to this printer for not just my class, but theirs as well, which has created a unified effort to use it for a multitude of projects and activities. Our favorite one so far, however silly it may seem, was printing off our own desktop sized disk golf game, which we enjoy playing as a class when extra time allows, creating new challenges and seeing who in class can make the most baskets.\r\n\r\nSo thank you donors, for giving us an updated piece of technology that has not only helped inspire my students creativity, but also made us closer together as a class and team.","fullyFundedDate":1727462722591,"projectUrl":"project/3d-ify-our-maker-space/8577554/","projectTitle":"3D-Ify Our Maker Space!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vari","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9243143_orig.jpg?crop=2048,2048,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693448117447","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9243143"},{"teacherId":9219720,"projectId":8577695,"letterContent":"I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the incredible materials you have provided.
