Students learn the design process: brainstorm, sketch, digitize artwork, then produce a finished button to share. Last week small groups created kindness-themed designs and ran a \"production line\" — one student managed file prep, another cut the artwork, and two operated the machine. They practiced collaboration, fine-motor skills, and iterative design. It has been great to see their creativeity sore. It has allowed us to show school spirit and connect with our feeder schools. \r\n\r\nFor example we created Be Bold Go Gold buttons that were sold and all proceeds went to help fight childhood cancers, a campaign started by a student in our district. We also created buttons for our feeder schools newly elected SGA representatives. \r\n\r\nThe students were thrilled — you could see genuine excitement and pride. Many crowded around the table, eager to try the press. A few hesitant students who rarely volunteer to share art surprised us by stepping forward to create bold designs. Many of them rushed over, took off their shoes, and immediately laid down to claim their spots.
