I recently watched a group of students huddled together, meticulously experimenting with different tracing techniques to transfer their sketches onto the boards.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding moments occurred the day the materials were unboxed. Rather than just seeing \"supplies,\" the students were genuinely curious about the tools of the trade, asking insightful questions about the composition of the Lino and where such specialized materials are sourced. It sparked a great conversation about the professional art world and the value of the tools they are now entrusted with.\r\n\r\nWhat's Next for Our Artists\r\nNow that the foundational carving skills are in place, our next steps are focused on production and exhibition:\r\n\r\nThe Print Run: Students will begin the inking process to create a series of block prints.\r\n\r\nPublic Gallery: These prints will be displayed in a curated exhibition throughout the school hallways to share their hard work with the student body.\r\n\r\nThe Final Presentation: The culmination of this project will see each student organize and mount their premier print inside a shadowbox.
