The students enjoy the peace calm and tranquility of the yoga mats, music cd's, lights and cushions. These items have increased student participation, teamwork and the students confidence to self-regulate independently. The students look forward to yoga and due to their routines they are aware when yoga time takes place. The students yoga time is after their small group lessons due to this the students are engaged, focused and put forth additional efforts to complete their lessons because they look forward to what's next. This has created the perfect balance for the students in which I teach. \r\n Some of the students in the class need additional outlets to release their energy and relaxing with yoga techniques has been amazing. Other students love to move calmly to the music that is being played, reducing their sensory overload and anxiety. The yoga activities has improved the focus of my students along with improving how they transition throughout the day. The students feel calmer in a group setting and secure to engage with peers and work together.
